It’s full of fascinating period objects and artifacts, from cosmetics to medical equipment. How do these cultural objects and markers deepen your sense of the past?”

A Reminder Post

  Welcome to the home stretch! This is the last week of book reading for Isabelle Allende's The House of the Spirits. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the story as much as I have enjoyed it.  I know that this is a busy time for everyone and I wanted to say that I am just as busy.  So, that being said I hope that everyone can make one last post before the meeting. I plan to make my last post this weekend because just as everyone else is, I am behind. I would like everyone to sign in for the meeting at the bottom of the blog if you intend on attending it. It will be in the same room as last time and if there is a strong fella who can show up 15 minutes early to help me move tables that would be greatly appreciated.  I will be bringing a "meeting size" craft of coffee from Starbucks that comes with plenty of cups, sugar , and creamer so feel free to bring snacks too. It should be a lively discussion so I hope everyone can make it. If you cannot make it and you plan on reading the next book please email and let me know so I can put one aside for you with Aryana in the library.  The format for the blog will be different for the next book and you will find out all about that when we are finished dissecting Allende's book at the meeting.  Look for my final post this weekend!
